Understanding Differences Between Myself and Others
Comprendiendo las Diferencias entre mi Ser y los Demas
Kindergarten is the main place where students learn to socialize with peers of their same age. With this, students need to learn how to get along with them. We have chosen a Themed Literature Unit about “Understanding Differences Between Myself and Others”. During the next couple of weeks, we will be exploring about what makes us special and unique. With the help of books, we will explore the main idea between differences, being unique, and using similarities to understand other people. We will be creating art projects to make connections between the books and ourselves.
We have general themes that we want the students to understand:
We will learn learn how our differences make us unique.
We will understand that everyone is different but special.
We will learn that even if everyone is different, we all have similarities that help us understand each other.
En Kindergarten, los ninos empiezan a socializar con otros ninos de su misma edad. Por lo mismo, lo estudiantes necesitan aprender como comportarse con los demas. Hemos escogido una unidad tematica de la literatura para explorar "Comprendiendo las Diferencias entre mi Ser y los Demas". En las próximas semanas estaremos explorando la idea de, qué es lo que me hace especial y único/a? Con la ayuda de libros, exploraremos las ideas principales de las diferencias, lo que nos hace especiales, y utilizando similitudes para entendernos como seres humanos. Crearemos proyectos artísticos para representar estas ideas de los libros y conectarlas a nuestras propias vidas.
Tenemos temas en general que queremos que entiendan los estudiantes:
Aprenderemos como nuestras diferencias nos convierten en una persona unica.
Entenderemos que todas las personas son diferentes pero son especiales.
Aprenderemos que aunque todos seamos diferentes, tenemos similitudes que nos ayudan a comprendernos.
